Before you travel
What documents do I need to cross at Beitbridge?
A passport valid for at least six months beyond your travel date, plus a visa if your nationality requires one for Zimbabwe or South Africa. Travellers under 18 need an unabridged birth certificate and, where applicable, parental consent. Without the right documents you will be turned back at the border.
How long does the border crossing take?
Beitbridge typically adds two to four hours, and considerably more over Easter, Christmas and month-end weekends. Our published journey times include a normal crossing; they are not guaranteed against border delays.
Can I pay at the terminal instead of online?
Yes. Reserve your seat online and pay in cash at the boarding point up to 60 minutes before departure. Unpaid reservations are released after that.
How much luggage can I bring?
Two bags up to 30kg total are included. Extra or oversized items are charged at the terminal, subject to space. Goods for resale must be declared at the border and may attract duty.
What if I need to change or cancel?
Changes are free up to 24 hours before departure. Cancellations inside 24 hours are refunded at 50%; no-shows are not refunded.
How early should I arrive?
Sixty minutes before departure for cross-border services — passenger and luggage manifests must be completed before boarding. Coaches leave on time and cannot wait for late passengers.
